12kW Vaillant Heat Pump Installation in Biggin Hill

This project involved the installation of a complete Vaillant air source heat pump system in Biggin Hill for a large 4–5 bedroom home of around 300 square metres, with 3 to 4 bathrooms.

At the heart of the installation is a 12kW Vaillant heat pump, designed to provide efficient and reliable heating performance for a larger residential property. To meet the home’s domestic hot water demand, we installed a 300-litre Vaillant uniSTOR pure cylinder, paired with a 45-litre Vaillant buffer vessel to support smooth and stable system operation.

The system also includes a Kinetico water softener, helping to reduce limescale build-up and protect the long-term performance of the heating and hot water system. For system control and flexible temperature management throughout the property, we fitted a Vaillant VR 720f main controller together with two Vaillant VR 92f room thermostats.

To further protect and optimise the system, the installation includes a Vaillant magnetic filter and a SpiroVent air and dirt separator, supporting cleaner circulation and efficient day-to-day operation.

The property also benefits from a Vent-Axia heat recovery system and Daikin air conditioning, both of which were installed separately by another contractor.

Internally, this installation features a clean and carefully planned plant room layout, with neatly arranged copper pipework, insulated primary pipe runs, and a well-organised combination of Vaillant components. Externally, the Vaillant outdoor unit was mounted on a solid base with insulated flow and return pipework routed back into the home.

This Biggin Hill heat pump installation provides the property with a modern, high-performance heating solution designed to deliver reliable comfort, strong hot water capacity, and straightforward control across a large family home.
